As an accomplished graphic designer for over three decades, and having used the Mac for the last 20 years, I’m anxious to pursue creative expression the old-fashioned way — through the smell, texture and feel of real pigment — imagery not controlled or produced by a machine.
There’s continually more to learn, more to explore, skills to accomplish, feelings to convey and imaginations to spark. I’m experimenting with a variety of subject matter, including plein air landscapes, still life, figurative work and abstracts, while looking beyond to a new artistic horizon in the area of fine art. In my pursuit of painting the song “The Higher You Climb,” by Dan Fogelberg, pretty much sums it up:
The higher you climb, the more that you see
The more that you see, the less that you know
The less that you know, the more that you yearn
The more that you yearn, the higher you climb
I’m looking forward to my painting journey, exploring multiple directions
and discovering my true path along the way.
